Most mirrors look similar on the wall. The difference, the part that decides whether a mirror still looks beautiful in ten years, is what you cannot see: the frame, the glass and the backing. Here is what goes into every MUNLER mirror, and why each choice matters.
The frame: brushed stainless steel
Many high-street mirrors are framed in MDF, painted wood, plastic or thin aluminium. They look fine at first, but they can chip, warp in humidity, and corrode where the finish wears. We frame every mirror in brushed stainless steel instead.
Stainless steel is rust- and corrosion-resistant, holds a crisp edge around an organic, asymmetrical silhouette, and keeps its brushed finish, matte black or champagne gold, without flaking or fading. It is also strong enough to be slim: the frame can trace a wavy outline cleanly rather than relying on a thick, heavy surround.
The glass: copper-free, lead-free silver mirror
The glass is where quality really shows. We use a copper-free, lead-free silver mirror, the same specification trusted for bathrooms and damp rooms.
- Better for the environment. Traditional mirrors are silvered using copper and lead. Ours are made without either, which means a cleaner manufacturing process and a more responsible product in your home.
- Built to stay clear. Copper-free, lead-free silvering is far more resistant to corrosion, edge-blackening and the cloudy ‘desilvering’ that ages cheaper mirrors. The reflection stays bright and true.
- Humidity-friendly. Because it resists moisture damage, this glass is well suited to bathrooms, hallways and kitchens, not just dry living spaces.
The backing & build
Behind the glass sits a solid, reinforced backing panel that protects the silvering and keeps the mirror stable and flat over time. Every mirror arrives with mounting clips fitted, so it is ready to hang securely straight out of the box, no guesswork, no flimsy wire.

Caring for your mirror
Very little is needed. Dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth, and clean the glass with a streak-free spray applied to the cloth rather than directly onto the mirror. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can dull a brushed finish. That is all it asks for years of clear reflection.
